Graphic Design is separated into two words Graphic and Design.
Visual is the definition of “Graphic”.
Expression via art and imagination. Clear and detailed information is provided by using a variety of media, such as typography, engraving, painting, and drawing.
Visual components, the foundation of design, make up the graphic portion of graphic design.
Line, color, shape, texture, space, form, and typography are the basic visual components that combine to produce graphic design.
Designers choose these visual elements and place them on a surface in a layout using artistic expression.
The second aspect is Design, which is the process of deciding on the appearance and purpose of something before it is built.
As a result, design is thought, problem-solving, pragmatism, and theory. There are guidelines that may be followed in graphic design. These criteria are known as design principles.
These requirements are all related and may be found in any piece of created work you encounter.
In graphic design, the design principles create the design. A solid understanding of design theory ensures that there is always substance behind your work.
Contrast, Hierarchy, Alignment, Balance, Proximity, Repetition, Simplicity, and Function are key design philosophies.
